Lessons

I am an instructor for the great highland bagpipe, and the other instruments listed on my Instrument page above.

For highland bagpipes:
When you begin lessons, it is requested that you purchase the tutor book, and model of practice chanter that I recommend. Lessons can be done (preferably) in person or over Skype.

Once you begin lessons, you are expected to practice on your own. 

Prices for bagpipe lessons are as follows:
- One and one-half (1 1/2) hour lesson: $25
- Band lessons (IN PERSON ONLY): $100 starting fee, then per hour

I teach using the College of Piping Green Book tutor, and I recommend the J. Dunbar Millennium 2000 practice chanter (extended length).

My pedagogy is derived directly from the renowned Seamus MacNeill (founder of the College of Piping in 1944 and author of the Green Book), and Thomas Campbell.

Lessons on other instruments are $65/hour.
